I am very satisfied with the air purifier, but I think the filters are a bit expensive, compared to the value it costs the new air purifier, which already comes with a filter.

Original Xiaomi, bought it as backup for Air purifier's included filter...
So hopefully it can last 6 months

The filter in my purifier is still ok. Bot this one for my friend. Unfortunately the item was taxed. I ordered another one and it went through without any issues. Product well packed.

Not used yet because I have just bought the Air purifier and still have more than 400days before change. But I have tried to change the filter and it is really easy. 3 seconds max for changing a filter on the xiaomi air purifier 2

The filter is easy to install and clean with vacuum cleaner.
It does its basic job and filters typical dust in the house, however I would pick the more advanced version of the filter (green) which is even better.

It last 3 months in my (air) conditions, but if you live in Centra/West Europe then having to exchange the filter every 6 or even 12 months seems possible. Unfortunately in Sofia/Bulgaria with 380-400 unit air pollution through the winter takes a life of the filter quickly.
Thus the price + shipping becomes quite expensive. Yes, indeed - top of the line Dakin air purifier offers 7 filters for less than 50 euro and those would last 7 years (in my case no more than 2-3 years).
That makes it clear that Xiaomi is trying to make money from the filters, not of selling higher quality washable one that can last years.
